About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining assigned aircraft in accordance with customer, manufacturer, and company procedures. The role involves using test equipment and Ground Support Equipment, interpreting technical publications, ordering parts, and annotating maintenance actions in various systems. The mechanic will also comply with FOD, Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control Programs, ensure proper operation of equipment, maintain records, and may perform off-site services and corrosion maintenance. The role also includes assisting with the safety and security of equipment and performing other assigned duties. The position requires willingness to stand rotating shifts and travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years experience within the last six (6) years performing repair and replacement of aircraft systems, components and accessories, as well as aircraft flight control and hydraulic systems or satisfactory completion of T45 OJT Program.
  • Must be familiar with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics and industry safety requirements.
  • Must be able to meet any Government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC card and government required security clearance.
  • Must have a valid state drivers license.

  • FAA A&P License is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains assigned aircraft in accordance with customer, manufacturer and company procedures.
  • Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks.
  • Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials and equipment as required.
  • Annotates maintenance actions on aircraft forms and Visual Information Display Systems (VIDS)/Maintenance Action Forms (MAF) or within Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Systems.
  • Complies with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control Programs.
  • Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  • May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
  • Perform corrosion maintenance and inspections as required.
  • Assist when directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.
  • Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing and able to stand rotating shifts.
  • Must be available to travel 25% of the time.
