About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is hiring Aircraft Mechanics at Level 3 or Level 4 to join teams based at Volkel AB and Leeuwarden Air Base in the Netherlands. Team members may also be asked by team leads or management to assist in other technical disciplines. The opportunity is contingent on program funding; start dates will be determined after funding confirmation. The role installs and modifies aircraft structural parts and components, including metallic and composite parts, and repairs structural defects or damage caused by aircraft operations and corrosion. Work requires interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals and structural repair manuals; identifying aircraft locations using station, butt-line and waterline references; and achieving specified fits, contours, edge distances, dimensions and tolerances. The mechanic also verifies the condition and application of installed LO materials, determines repair material and time requirements, performs corrective actions and reinstallations when needed, and sets up and operates material testers and mixers. The position requires an active Secret clearance or higher, U.S. citizenship, completion of required F-35 training for continued employment, and the ability to meet physical and respirator-clearance requirements. Travel is 10% of the time. Relocation assistance may be available.
