Amentum is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 3 to support U.S. Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island. This role involves managing, inspecting, performing, and directing organizational level maintenance and modifications on EA-18G aircraft, sub-systems, support equipment, related weapons systems, and Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS). The Aircraft Mechanic 3 will also advise team members and resolve complex maintenance issues through analysis and testing of various aircraft systems including missiles, airframes, engines, flight controls, pneudraulics, fuel, and electrical/electronic systems. This position requires the ability to provide technical support to engineers and customers, possess excellent organizational skills for workload prioritization to meet aircraft delivery schedules, and make entries in aircraft logs and records. The role also involves providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians during aircraft modifications and maintenance efforts. Additionally, the mechanic will inspect the aircraft for foreign objects, certify maintenance performed by the team, assign project/priority codes, and direct cannibalization actions to meet maintenance plans and flight schedules. The position also includes performing inspection, disassembly, repair, servicing, TD compliance, modification, assembly, surface finish removal, corrosion control, and preservation/de-preservation services for specified aircraft and aeronautical equipment systems. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization.
