About The Position

ALS is looking for a Learjet/Corp Turbine A&P Mechanic to join our team! This role requires applying professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturer's manuals. The work involves a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair, replacement of components, and aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair. A thorough understanding of non-complex electrical systems and aircraft unique tools is essential. The position also requires providing technical support to engineers and customers, maintaining excellent organizational skills to meet aircraft delivery schedules, and making entries in aircraft logs and records. Guidance and technical expertise will be provided to lower-level technicians. The role involves performing aircraft recovery missions, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Air Force C-21 aircraft (Learjet 35), and maintaining/repairing aircraft structures, components, and engines. This includes flight controls, engines, avionics/electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applying technical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions. Compliance with company maintenance and logistics procedures, FAA regulations, and Air Force aircraft records procedures is mandatory. A clean and organized workplace must be maintained.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License for a minimum of two years.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to read and interpret instructions from technical manuals, blueprints and internal Company documents.
Physical capability to work in tight spaces at heights and on wings, use ladders, operate tugs and aircraft support equipment and lift up to 75lbs.
Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments in a timely, quality manner.
Must have the ability to deploy to overseas locations on short notice.
Experience with aircraft avionics maintenance and troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

Experience on C-21 and/or Learjet 35.
Turbofan experience.
Military aviation maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
Provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers.
Prioritize workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
Make entries in aircraft logs and records.
Provide guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians.
Comply with written Company maintenance and logistics procedures.
Comply with FAA regulations, as applicable.
Comply with Air Force aircraft records procedures and ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded and corrected.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on the Air Force C-21 aircraft (commercial variant is a Learjet 35).
Maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, avionics/electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.
Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance for the fleet of assigned Air Force aircraft.
Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded and corrected in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
