The mechanic must complete assigned training requirements within prescribed timelines and operate vehicles on the flightline according to local airfield driving requirements. Notifying the Shift Lead when aircraft are "crew ready" and conducting aircrew debriefs when assigned are also part of the duties. Servicing, operating, and maintaining ground support equipment, along with interior and exterior cleaning of aircraft and work areas, are necessary. Accurate completion of aircraft forms and maintenance information systems documentation is crucial, with all documentation to be completed as soon as practical, but always prior to the end of the shift. All other position-related duties as assigned will also be performed.
