ACET is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II – Sheet Metal at our Fairchild AFB WA location. This role requires a combination of experience in repairing engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train, and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty to meet assigned missions. The position also involves providing input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), preparing Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD), and assisting in recommending changes to Modification Work Orders (MWO). Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and lead teams through more complex relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. This mechanic maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty. They also maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. The role requires applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition or operation. It also involves using comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturer’s manuals.
