About The Position

The Aircraft Management & Sales Director role is a cornerstone growth position, created to expand Aery’s managed fleet, charter capacity, maintenance demand, and geographic footprint across the United States. Who We Are Looking For Aery Aviation is seeking a senior aviation commercial leader to serve as its first Aircraft Management & Sales Director. This role owns aircraft management acquisition, owner relationships, charter optimization, and aircraft sales advisory, serving as a trusted partner to turbine aircraft owners. What You Will Be Doing The Aircraft Management & Sales Director will identify and secure corporate and private turbine aircraft into Aery’s management program, enabling: Increased Part 135 charter revenue and fleet depth Higher MRO utilization Expansion into new markets and service regions Long-term owner relationships and repeat business Develop and execute a national aircraft management sales strategy aligned with Aery’s charter, MRO, and growth objectives Identify, target, and onboard turbine aircraft owners requiring: Identify, target, and onboard turbine aircraft owners requiring: Full aircraft management services Maintenance oversight and cost control Charter revenue generation when owner not using for owner usage Grow Aery’s managed fleet with a focus on turbojet aircraft that align with charter and maintenance capabilities Build long-term, profitable owner relationships focused on retention and expansion Charter Revenue Optimization Position Part 135 charter as a value-enhancing tool for aircraft owners Work with charter sales, dispatch, and operations to maximize charter utilization while protecting owner availability Ensure charter operations align with owner expectations, revenue goals, and aircraft preservation Aircraft Sales & Owner Advisory Support aircraft owners in buy/sell/upgrade decisions, including: Transitioning to different aircraft types Assisting charter customers seeking aircraft ownership Coordinate with brokers, financiers, and inspectors to facilitate aircraft transactions Leverage sales activity to feed aircraft into Aery’s management and charter programs Market Expansion & Brand Development Target key U.S. aviation markets to expand Aery’s management and charter footprint Build relationships with: Aircraft brokers and dealers OEM and completion centers Banks, lenders, and aviation attorneys Serve as a senior brand ambassador for Aery Aviation at industry events and owner forums Developing & Executing Sales Strategy Build and execute a comprehensive aircraft management sales strategy aligned with company goals, target markets, and competitive dynamics Identify and prioritize target customer segments (aircraft owners, corporate flight departments, family offices, brokers, etc.). Determine the geographic bases and Aery strategy Driving Revenue Lead sales operations across multiple U.S. and global locations to achieve annual sales volumes of $5+ million sustainable revenues after the first year and add 3 to 5 management a/c per year Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through close. Client & Stakeholder Relationships Build, expand, and maintain strong relationships with key clients, aviation partners, and industry stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to aircraft owners and decision-makers, clearly articulating the value of the company’s management solutions. Contract Negotiation & Deal Management Negotiate and close high-value aircraft management agreements focused on long-term partnerships and sustainable profitability. Collaborate with legal and finance to structure deals that align with company policies, risk parameters, and client needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with operations, finance, marketing, and product/service development to ensure sales commitments are operationally achievable and financially sound. Provide market feedback to support service enhancements, pricing strategies, and customer experience improvements. Performance Metrics & Reporting Set clear sales performance metrics and targets for territories/segments. Regularly report on pipeline, revenue, conversion rates, and key KPIs; provide analysis and recommendations to leadership. Market Intelligence Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to identify growth opportunities and potential risks. Use insights to refine positioning, sales messaging, and go-to-market strategies. Compliance & Ethics Ensure all sales activities adhere to aviation industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards. Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance in all client and partner interactions. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep technical credibility, sales acumen, and owner-level trust.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of proven aviation sales experience, preferably in:
  • Aircraft management
  • Charter sales
  • Aircraft brokerage
  • 10+ years of experience in turbine aircraft operations, maintenance, or flight operations, including, corporate or Part 135 turbojet aircraft and maintenance planning or operational oversight
  • Strong understanding of: Aircraft ownership structures and operating economics; Part 135 charter operations; and Aircraft maintenance and lifecycle management
  • Established relationships with aircraft owners, brokers, and industry partners
  • Ability to communicate credibly with owners, pilots, mechanics, and executives
  • Familiarity with FAA regulatory environments (Parts 91, 135, and 145)
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term, trust-based client relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with aircraft management companies or charter operators
  • Flight operations background (pilot, DO, CP) and / or maintenance background (A&P, DOM)
  • Experience selling or managing midsize and large cabin turbojets
