About The Position

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification of CareFlite aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role supports 24/7 air ambulance operations and contributes to a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience on helicopters and/or fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 135 maintenance requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • EMS air ambulance maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Ensure aircraft remain airworthy and ready for EMS operations.
  • Respond to after-hours maintenance needs as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, tool control, and FOD policies.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make sound maintenance decisions.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, parts procurement, and inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
