About The Position

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation, a leading provider of commercial line maintenance, is seeking exceptional individuals for its Aircraft Maintenance Technician team in Windsor Locks, CT. The Aircraft Mechanic will perform aircraft line maintenance activities in accordance with company, FAA, other regulatory, and customer standards. This role is responsible for accomplishing unscheduled/scheduled maintenance, including troubleshooting engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, airframes, electrical systems, and oxygen systems. The position also involves removing and replacing various system components as required.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a valid A&P and State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall
  • Night shift availability required

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ experience preferred but not required.
  • Aircraft Qualifications: B737NG, B767-300, B737 Max 8, A330

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with the company's RSM, QCM, customers’ procedures, FARs, and all other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Accomplish job functions to the highest safety, quality, reliable, and efficient standards.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to the highest standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Able to read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents to complete work assignments.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory documents are complete and accurate.
  • Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties, i.e., servicing units, jacks, lifts, calibrated tooling, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required.
