About The Position

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician inspects mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems and diagnoses malfunctions. Aircraft maintenance technicians also ensure compliance with aviation safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate. Continue training as needed to maintain certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and radio)
  • Positive attitude towards productivity, safety, and quality maintenance
  • Available to work shifts and overtime as necessary.
  • Must have own set of tools.
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance work on company Embraer ERJ-145 and other aircraft that may be added to our fleet, at our maintenance bases including but not limited to dismantling, overhauling repairing, assembling all aircraft parts and components.
  • Perform routine releases returning aircraft to service.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with company, manufacturer, and FAA requirements.
  • Maintain work area, tools, and vehicles in clean and safe working conditions.
  • Collaborate with appropriate Inspection personnel (RII)
  • Ensure hazardous materials storage is frequently inspected and ensure proper labeling, containers, and location in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions at CommuteAir.
  • Other duties as assigned.
