About The Position

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation, a leading provider of commercial line maintenance services, is seeking exceptional individuals for its Aircraft Maintenance Technician team in Chicago, IL. Founded in 2004, Flightcheck offers technical handling, aircraft de-icing, and ground handling for numerous airlines. The Aircraft Mechanic will perform aircraft line maintenance, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, airframes, electrical systems, and oxygen systems. This role involves removing and replacing system components as needed, all in accordance with company, FAA, regulatory, and customer standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a valid A&P and State Driver’s License
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an AMT
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightcheck’s RSM, QCM, customers’ procedures, FARs, and all other applicable rules and regulations
  • Accomplish job functions to the highest safety, quality, reliable, and efficient standards
  • Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to the highest standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness
  • Able to read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents to complete work assignments
  • Must be customer service-oriented
  • Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory documents are complete and accurate
  • Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties, i.e., servicing units, jacks, lifts, calibrated tooling, etc.
  • Occasional travel
  • Perform other duties as they are assigned
