The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on aircraft undergoing heavy maintenance checks within an MRO facility. The AMT ensures aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
  • Solid experience in heavy maintenance within an MRO environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret AMM, IPC, MEL and CDL documentation.
  • Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and task prioritization.
  • Physically capable of working in a demanding hangar environment.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Transport Canada AME (M1 or M2) licence or equivalent is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and maintenance tasks during C-checks and D-checks.
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance on aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control and landing gear systems.
  • Remove and install aircraft components in accordance with approved maintenance data.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and rectify mechanical discrepancies.
  • Apply Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs) and Engineering Orders.
  • Properly use tools, calibrated equipment and GSE.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities in accordance with Transport Canada requirements.
