About The Position

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated and reliable Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor for its Maintenance Department. This role is primarily responsible for managing manpower, workloads, parts, tools, and supplies for daily operations. The supervisor will oversee maintenance staff in aircraft repair, inspection, alteration, and modification, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment in compliance with company, FAA, and OSHA guidelines. The goal is to maintain industry-leading service and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Possess FAA Airframe and Powerplant Licenses and company-issued licenses
  • Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft, one (1) year of which as an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic
  • Ability to evaluate, praise, and provide accountability to team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the appropriate parts of the Maintenance Policies and Procedures Manual, including applicable provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs)
  • Hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License
  • One year of experience as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic
  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
  • 10-year Criminal History Records Check
  • Drug screen as required
  • Proof of high school or GED completion
  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Previous background and/or experience in mechanical operations or endeavors

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance staff in repair, inspection, alteration, and modification on the aircraft
  • Make real-time decisions that affect the company’s performance
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment while operating within company, FAA, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines
  • Develop procedures to increase efficiency and reduce overall costs
  • Maintaining and scheduling manpower, workloads, parts, tools, and supplies for the day-to-day operation
  • Supervises maintenance staff in repair, inspection, alteration, and modification of the aircraft
