About The Position

The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires effective leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise a team, communicate effectively, and manage time and organizational tasks. The supervisor will oversee maintenance staff, including reviewing performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting priorities. Responsibilities also include performing off-site service on assigned detachments, instructing employees on proper maintenance methods, enforcing safety programs (FOD, hazardous waste, tool control), and assisting in the preservation of Government/Company-owned equipment. Compliance with all established safety rules and regulations is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of specialized aircraft maintenance "A" Schools, or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 12 years experience within the last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification, nine (9) years must be related exempt experience, OR, Associates degree with eight (8) years exempt experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 years experience.
  • Of the 12 years experience in aircraft maintenance, six (6) years shall be in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts, OR four (4) years, OR two (2) years experience, relative to the above schooling.
  • Experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable of the OPNAVINST 4790.2 series.
  • Knowledgeable of NALCOMIS operating procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of basic supply procedures.
  • Possess a working knowledge of applicable aircraft.
  • Experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
  • Experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and protection.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of the job classification.

  • Enforce Foreign Object Debris (FOD), hazardous waste, and tool control programs.
  • Assist as directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government/Company-owned equipment.
  • Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
