About The Position

Air Canada is looking for dynamic individuals to fill permanent full-time positions of Aircraft Technicians or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at their Montreal Maintenance Centre. These roles are responsible for airframe maintenance and require individuals to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment. Candidates must be able to read and understand schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools. The ideal candidates are team players with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • Completed a recognized apprenticeship program, and/or have at least 4 years of industry-related experience.
  • Possession of a Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license (Mandatory).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (Mandatory).
  • Able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check.
  • Be available to work night, evenings, and days including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (Mandatory).
  • Possession of a restricted radio operators permit (aviation).
  • Meet Air Canada medical standards, including a drug and alcohol test.
  • Be eligible to work in the country of interest.
  • Ability to obtain any required work permits/visas or other authorizations.

  • Endorsements on Air Canada aircraft type.
  • Current security clearance.
  • Bilingual candidates (preference given based on equal qualifications).

Responsibilities

  • Perform airframe maintenance.
