About The Position

Canadian Helicopters is a helicopter transportation service, maintenance support and flight training company. In business since 1947, Canadian Helicopters is Canada's largest helicopter operator with over 20 locations across the country and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircrafts. The AME's duties include: Planning and performing aircraft maintenance; Ensuring that all replacement parts are inspected and properly certified prior to installation; Organizing and housekeeping of the hangar facility; Assuring compliance with all company policies and procedures; Travelling to various work locations and environments as required; Performing related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME licence
  • Must have the legal right to work in Canada, this position is not available for sponsorship
  • Hold, have held or must be eligible to hold Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) on one or many of the following: AS350B2, AS350B3, AS355N, B206, B212, B412, S61
  • Organized and self-starter
  • Customer focus, good communication skills and positive attitude and a team player
  • Ability to accept away-from-base assignments, at the customer request
  • Ability to navigate and work efficiently within a Windows environment
  • May be required to obtain Access to Controlled Goods clearance under the company’s approval

Nice To Haves

  • holding ACA on other types of CHL aircrafts would be a definite asset
  • Have successfully completed a basic maintenance course from a Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) acceptable training organization or within DND. - Southport (MB)
  • Consideration will be given to applicants with a Canadian Military aircraft maintenance qualification. - Southport (MB)
