As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Air Inuit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet is always ready to conquer the skies. Under the supervision of the Senior Base Engineer or Base Engineer you will carry-out repairs and line maintenance on Air Inuit’s fleet.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • A valid M1 & M2 license.
  • Have successfully completed the qualifying exam for AMO certification privileges.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate parts of the MPM, MCM, aircraft operations specifications and maintenance manuals necessary for the performance of his/her duties.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to those holding 737-200/300/800, DHC8, DHC6 endorsement. (If not already holding these endorsements, Air Inuit will provide the necessary).

Responsibilities

  • Perform work on aircraft as outlined by applicable Inspection Instructions, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins or other approved schemes in accordance with accepted practices and ensure that such work is carried out in accordance with the applicable portions of the MPM.
  • Complete routine and scheduled maintenance on a variety of aircraft.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all items of work are recorded and signed out as required on the applicable Maintenance Control forms.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work.
  • Maintain in good order the AMO facilities, such as shop, store, library and its surroundings.
  • Aircraft De-icing: Ensuring optimal performance and safety by expertly removing ice and snow from aircraft surfaces.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and apprentices.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests with efficiency and expertise.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks in line with the Department’s operational needs.
