About The Position

The Aircraft Maintenance Analyst works with engineers in the development and evaluation of solutions, drafting technical instructions, development parts lists, data collection, and root cause analysis for reliability and maintainability of rotary wing aircraft.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in reliability and maintainability support
  • High School diploma is required
  • Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
  • Must possess organizational and time management skills
  • Must possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all acquisition systems assigned to the aviation portfolio
  • Extensive knowledge of aviation operations
  • Strong professional, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate cross-functional team collaboration skills in a rapidly changing, high intensity, mission-oriented work environment
  • Will be required to undergo a standard background check
  • US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Responsibilities

  • Performing maintenance data trend analysis, failure mode and effects analysis updates, preventative maintenance package task updates
  • Isolating and analyzing aircraft functional system deficiencies, identifying appropriate solutions, and assisting in the production of data required to implement the improvements.
  • Performing research for all aircraft systems, malfunction analysis, modification, parts replacement, components repair, standards, and specifications
  • Planning, analyzing, and coordinating acquisition of replacement or repairs of components no longer logistically supported by USAF subcontractors
  • Recommending maintenance procedural changes and submits change recommendation documentation.
  • Preparing, editing, and/or submitting research, travel, technical, and other reports
  • Evaluating customer submitted: document change requests, deficiency reports, safety/hazard reports, and accident/incident reports to evaluate failure modes and formulate solutions
  • Working individually to form solutions with little to no guidance
  • Performing all duties on time and within budget
  • Identifying barriers, briefing leadership on deviations, and submitting solutions
  • Task management skills, leading small teams developing or modifying aircraft systems or subsystems.
