Aircraft Maint Support Engineer- Retrofit - Level 2
About The Position
In this Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer position, you will be responsible for writing, validation, and maintenance of Retrofit technical publications including Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), Service Bulletins (SB), Service Information Letters (SIL) for military and commercial variants of C-130B-H, C-130J or C-5 aircraft. Candidate should have an engineering or strong technical background in aircraft maintenance development and be knowledgeable of TCTO, SB and SILs. Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with customers, engineering, and other organizations to define Retrofit requirements. Successful candidate should possess knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, structural, and pneumatic systems. Successful candidate should have knowledge of military specification requirements and logistic support concepts and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings. Prior military or industry experience relating to aircraft maintenance and knowledge of complex automated and integrated aircraft systems preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline from an accredited University or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and/or wire schematics to develop aircraft maintenance procedures
- Experience in Technical Publications writing, validating and maintaining technical data
- Engineering or strong technical background in aircraft maintenance development
- Knowledgeable of TCTO, SB and SILs
- Knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, structural, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of military specification requirements and logistic support concepts
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manuscript authoring, editing technical and/or aircraft maintenance or operational information
- Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP)
- Prior military or industry experience relating to aircraft maintenance and knowledge of complex automated and integrated aircraft systems
