About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Aircraft Machinist Team Lead to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. Position Responsibilities: Lead and model a positive and productive culture, providing clear direction and holding the team to high standards Build effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to the First Line Leader Updates and communicates BPS metrics Identify KPI improvement actions Assigns daily work Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk Documents and communications shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing Monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues Create standardized work instructions Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements, will lead Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks Exhibits Boeing Behaviors Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of experience with 787 operations processes
  • 3+ years of machining experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Velocity, REDARS, and CMES
  • 2+ years of formal and/or informal leadership experience
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to drive team collaboration, productivity, and a customer-focused delivery mindset
  • Experience leading daily operations, managing performance metrics, and problem-solving skills
