About The Position

The Aircraft Inventory Manager position will be based in Hawthorne, CA. Under the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the incumbent of this role will be responsible for keeping our operation running by ensuring the right aircraft parts are available at the right time. As Aircraft Inventory Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of inventory—from sourcing and purchasing to tracking and distribution—while partnering closely with Maintenance and Operations to minimize downtime and support daily flight activity. You are hands on, organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and can communicate effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Aviation / Related field Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must have valid CA Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory of aircraft parts, tooling, and consumables across all maintenance locations
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Part 135 and 121 requirements, including proper documentation and traceability (e.g., 8130-3 tags, airworthiness certs)
  • Oversee procurement of aircraft parts and materials, including vendor selection, pricing negotiations, and order tracking
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to ensure timely availability of critical parts
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems, including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes
  • Track shelf-life items, serialized components, and rotable parts to ensure compliance and usability
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, repair stations, and OEMs to ensure timely and cost-effective support
  • Support AOG situations by expediting parts sourcing and logistics
  • Analyze inventory trends and provide reporting on usage, costs, and optimization opportunities
  • Manage physical inventories, proper storage, handling, and security of aircraft parts in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements such as Hazardous Material, DOT, FAA, etc.
  • Participate in Advanced Air, LLC's Safety Management System to continually improve Safety and Quality.
  • Perform other duties assigned
