About The Position

The Interiors Mechanic performs the installation, modification, refurbishment, and restoration of aircraft interior components. Working under the Direction of Maintenance leadership, this position helps ensure each aircraft interior meets approved specifications, quality standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements. This position supports both scheduled interior projects and time-sensitive repairs while protecting aircraft, maintaining accurate documentation, and minimizing downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe Certificate.
  • At least two years of aircraft interior installation, refurbishment, repair, upholstery, cabinetry.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft interior materials, hardware, installation methods, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and follow drawings, diagrams, technical instructions, work orders, and approved maintenance data.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other equipment associated with interior installation and repair.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and electronic maintenance or documentation systems.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined aircraft spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and position tools, materials, and aircraft components within applicable safety limits.
  • Ability to work around aircraft, maintenance equipment, chemicals, adhesives, dust, noise, and varying temperatures while using required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work onsite and accommodate schedule adjustments, overtime, weekends, or travel when operationally required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on Citation X aircraft is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, remove, modify, repair, and refurbish aircraft interior components, including seating, cabinetry, panels, flooring, carpeting, headliners, and fixtures.
  • Complete interior upfits and restoration work according to approved drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Fit, align, secure, and finish components to meet functional, appearance, and workmanship standards.
  • Identify interior discrepancies and determine appropriate repair or replacement requirements.
  • Perform all work in accordance with FAA requirements, approved technical data, manufacturer specifications, and Company procedures.
  • Inspect completed work for proper fit, finish, function, and overall quality.
  • Protect aircraft surfaces, equipment, and customer property throughout the maintenance process.
  • Maintain accurate work records, task cards, material documentation, and discrepancy reports.
  • Communicate work status, material needs, technical concerns, and potential delays promptly.
  • Support scheduled maintenance, aircraft transitions, and time-sensitive interior or AOG repairs when assigned.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned tools, materials, components, and a clean, organized work area.
