About The Position

Inland Technologies Canada is the world's premier airport environmental services company specializing in the management and processing of glycol effluent generated from aircraft deicing and aircraft fueling. Our team of trained and seasoned aviation fuel professionals provide customizable programs and solutions, including: Fuel tank farm management, into plane fueling, distribution, inventory control, fuel transportation by air, remote fuel supply, custom-made specialized fuel projects, on-site training and site auditing services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Successful completion of all classroom and on-the-job training;
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook);
  • Read, write, speak and communicate effectively;
  • Interpret documents including safety rules, operating and procedure manuals;
  • Mathematical competence with ability to: Add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; Compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations;
  • General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools;
  • Work as part of a team and maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;
  • Comfortable operating large vehicles during inclement weather in constricted areas;
  • Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints;
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable Transport Canada Security Clearance and additional authorizations (Restricted Area Identity Card and Airside Vehicle Operators Permit).

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and follow the duties related to operating and maintaining fueling vehicles, tank farm and other associated equipment according to procedures for both airlines and Inland;
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel;
  • Operate equipment within close proximity to airfield personnel, aircraft and other airfield equipment safely and efficiently;
  • Escort non-security badge holding personnel in accordance with airport escorting procedures;
  • Assist in fuel farm and dispatching operations when required;
