About The Position

As an Aircraft Fueler for Global Crossing Airlines (“GlobalX”), your primary duty will be the safe and efficient fueling of GlobalX A320 family aircraft at MIA. You may also fuel the aircraft for other airlines at MIA.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Position requires wearing safety related equipment, i.e. goggles, gloves, boots, respirator, hearing protection, and back support as necessitated by a specific task
  • Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing, rotating, twisting, climbing of high tanks, squatting, kneeling, overhead arm movement
  • Must be able to occasionally handle weights up to and including 70 lbs

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear
  • The individual must also be able to open and close large value on 16" product delivery pipelines quickly
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and airport security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, transfer, and dispense petroleum fuel products.
  • Operate motorized fueling vehicles (fuel tank trucks – both standard and automatic transmissions).
  • Operate non-motorized fueling vehicles (hydrant carts).
  • Fuel and de-fuel aircraft according to flight crew instructions and flight plan requirements.
  • Inspect fueling equipment and vehicles, reporting any malfunctions or inconsistencies.
  • Perform accurate fueling calculations and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Fuel ground support equipment (gasoline or diesel) as required.
  • Communicate effectively with carrier personnel using radios, phones, and computers.
  • Respond to fuel emergencies, such as fuel spills, by utilizing the emergency response cart and following environmental/company guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
  • Follow Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
