As an Aircraft Engine Test Mechanical – Assembly Mechanic you will install, operate, test and remove aircraft engines, engine components and other assemblies in the test stands. Make all necessary test connections and installs and removes test equipment as required. Requirements

  • FAA issued Powerplant license is required.
  • Candidate must show that the license is in good standing with the FAA and have the ability pass a Rolls-Royce vision test.
  • Should have mechanical experience, either automotive or aircraft.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of shop math and willingness to learn and apply new skills.
  • Travel when necessary to support actions in the field.
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Holding both licenses (FAA Airframe & Powerplant licenses) is preferred.
  • Airframe & Powerplant license is preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred from a Technical School
  • Military training on powerplant/airframe a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conducts maintenance and activities surrounding the assembling, disassembling, rework, repair, inspection and testing of experimental test articles, production units and related support equipment.
  • Install, operate, test and remove aircraft engines, engine components and other assemblies in the test stands.
  • Make all necessary test connections and installs and removes test equipment as required.
  • Conduct power generation maintenance actions to include basic measurement tasks, instrument systems, electrical systems, lubrication systems, ignition and starting systems, fuel metering systems, fuel systems, induction and airflow systems, cooling systems, exhaust and reverser systems, propellers, auxiliary power units and special test equipment.
