About The Position

Join our Engine Shop team in Ypsilanti as a Parts Cleaner/Expediter and help keep aircraft engine parts moving safely and efficiently through the repair and overhaul process. In this hands-on role, you will clean, prepare, and expedite aircraft engine parts and related accessories using manual and machine-assisted cleaning methods while supporting safety, quality, and shop compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check, employment eligibility verification, or other pre-employment requirements, as permitted by applicable law.
  • Previous experience in aviation or industrial cleaning
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with chemicals, cleaning agents, or personal protective equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, including technical procedures and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with team members and communicate professionally across departments.

  • Willingness to undergo training and certification as required

Responsibilities

  • Clean aircraft engine parts and related components using approved processes, including engine cleaning, parts washing, plastic beading, flushing, vibratory cleaning, and dry/wet abrasive grit blasting.
  • Perform concentration checks on tank solutions and document results as required.
  • Conduct shop practice audits to help ensure the cleaning line remains clean, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Identify and report damaged parts, equipment concerns, or maintenance needs to the appropriate team member.
  • Follow established safety, sanitation, environmental, and personal protective equipment procedures.
  • Monitor, replenish, and properly handle consumables and chemicals in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
