About The Position

This Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position serves as a technical authority coordinating and performing scheduled and unscheduled inspection, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, overhaul, and maintenance of aircraft propulsion systems and components. Work covers engines installed on aircraft and those in back-shop, test-cell, and maintenance-stand settings, including flightline maintenance and operational engine runs. The incumbent applies knowledge of engine and aircraft systems to assess airworthiness and performance, coordinate work across trades, and direct maintenance actions based on engine health data. The position also involves training assigned reservists, maintaining required certifications, ensuring safe work practices, and completing maintenance documentation. The incumbent must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve membership and military requirements, wear the uniform, and maintain job-specific military specialty qualifications. Regular assignments are primarily ART duties, though non-ART duties may be assigned, generally not exceeding 30 percent of responsibilities.
