About The Position

Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components. Performs complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring. Performs sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables. Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for electrical modification or repair. Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems at organizational or depot maintenance level. Performs aircraft bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting. Performs assembly, installation, check-out, operational testing, and modification of wire bundles. Interprets work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, and job layouts. Diagnoses and corrects malfunctions in assembly processes. Uses precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical modification, connector terminations, and related duties.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical or electronic theories and systems.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and alternate baseline schedules.
  • Ability to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
  • Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
  • Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications.
  • Ability to pass assessment during training cycle and adhere to SA Tool and FOD procedures.
