Requirements

• At least 3 years of aerospace composite experience.
• Must be willing to travel or temporarily relocate to Kinston, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond metal and composite laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins, or equipment.
• Work with others to fabricate, assemble, form, finish, and inspect structural and non-structural fiberglass, acrylic, composite, and metal parts, tools, and assemblies.
• Follow engineering and manufacturing specifications and orders to determine which parts require bonding and the required temperature and pressure.
• Cut parts or materials to size.
• Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles.
• Sand, deburr, and smooth areas.
• Apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
• Perform complicated rework or repairs as needed.
• Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, and verbal or electronic information.
