Under moderate supervision, this role is responsible for repairing and overhauling internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and components in accordance with Gulfstream Repair Station requirements. This involves applying basic and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment appropriate to the area of specialization. The technician will perform repairs by removing, repairing, or replacing defective parts, fabricating replacement parts, and installing them according to blueprints, component maintenance manuals, vendor documents, verbal instructions, engineering dispositions, and other authorized maintenance data. All activities must adhere to Repair Station requirements, ensuring parts and assemblies meet conformance. The role also includes setting up, maintaining, and operating necessary test equipment for functional and operational tests of mechanical and electrical aircraft components for return to service, and inspecting detail parts to ensure conformity requirements are met. Additionally, the technician will remove and reinstall skins and related components on flight controls and secondary structure components, demonstrate effective repair techniques, maintain required paperwork, keep a clean work area, and comply with environmental health and safety regulations.
