About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Line Maintenance YYZ, this position will provide support in various areas related to aircraft certification and structural repairs.

Requirements

3 years of avionics repair experience in the aviation industry.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license, Cat E.
High degree of accuracy.
Strong analytical personality.
Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to travel internationally on short notice.

Responsibilities

Perform sheet metal repairs including part fabrication, assembly, and installation (on wing and in shop).
Conduct damage assessments, including taking pictures, measurements, and preparing paperwork for submission to THD.
Collaborate with DeHavilland and Embraer THD for repair requests.
Complete and sign off required paperwork, such as work cards and the journey log book.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Mentor new structures technicians.
Track and coordinate structural repairs with Planning, focusing on repeat thresholds.
Work closely with Bombardier In Service Engineering and the Technical Help Desk to request Repair Drawings.
Provide recommendations to Bombardier ISE and THD for amendments to Repair Drawings.
Develop and maintain a damage tracking system for quick reference.
Liaise with third-party structural repair companies for additional manpower when needed.
Review and implement Bombardier Service Bulletins and other relevant technical documents related to structures.
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting the Company Safety Policy.
Acquire and maintain Airport Security Clearance, AVOP, Passport, and a full “G” driver’s license.
Support AOG structural repairs system-wide as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
