About The Position

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as an Aircraft Avionics Technician in our Maintenance Department. The primary responsibility of the position is performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems and components. The successful candidate will have a Valid Airframe and Powerplant certificate coupled with either an associates degree specializing in electronics and avionics systems or two years of experience working with aircraft electronics and avionics systems. The Avionics Technician reports to the Avionics Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Associates degree specializing in electronics and avionics systems or a minimum of two years of experience working with aircraft electronics and avionics systems
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of high school or GED completion
  • Minimum 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mechanical operations
  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine and non-routine maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace aircraft communication, navigational and electrical equipment
  • Complete functional testing and inspections of the avionics on our fleet
