About The Position

Join an innovative SEIT team as an Air to Ground Systems Engineer, leading the development and integration of advanced radar solutions for next-generation air-to-ground platforms. Requirements

  • Active DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years, Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for degree)
  • Proven leadership in systems engineering of radar or RF sensor systems, including requirements, architecture, modeling, and test
  • Hands-on experience with air-to-ground radar modes and radar performance
  • Technical proficiency in MATLAB or Python; programming in C/C++ or shell scripting (Bash, C shell)
  • Strong skills in modeling, simulation, and digital signal processing for RF or radar systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and resolve complex system-level issues across hardware and software

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in radar, RF systems, or signal processing
  • Experience as lead systems engineer or IPT lead on airborne radar development/upgrade programs
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and approaches
  • Track record in shaping technology roadmaps and R&D efforts in radar or advanced sensors

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture design for air-to-ground radar systems, ensuring mission and platform alignment
  • Define and decompose system-level requirements, performance budgets, and interface specifications across multidisciplinary teams
  • Direct and assess trade studies on waveforms, antenna design, processing architectures, and mission scenarios
  • Model and simulate radar performance, including link budgets, coverage, detection/tracking, and clutter analysis
  • Guide algorithm and concept development from a systems engineering perspective
  • Drive verification planning and test architecture across lab, ground, and flight scenarios for new radar capabilities
  • Oversee integration and test campaigns, including planning, execution, data analysis, and issue resolution
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action for complex system-level issues
  • Represent the engineering team in technical reviews, risk, and issue boards
  • Interface with customers, presenting technical strategies, performance results, and roadmaps
  • Support capture activities, proposal development, and technical volume generation
  • Mentor early and mid-career engineers in best practices for radar systems engineering
