About The Position

Edmonton Airports is seeking a highly motivated Air Service Analyst who will support all initiatives to attract and expand air service at Edmonton International Airport (YEG). This role is primarily responsible for conducting research and analysis to inform the development of data-driven presentations and business cases for new and incumbent airline partners, with the goal of increasing air service at YEG.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business (BCom, BBA), Data & Analytics, Economics, Aviation Management, or similar.
  • Prefer 2+ years of air service development at an airport or network planning, scheduling planning, or revenue management experience at an airline OR 2+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or consulting at a professional firm
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial aviation terminology, metrics, and industry concepts.
  • Apply aviation knowledge to analyze air service opportunities and market performance.
  • Interpret airline strategies, network structures, and operational trends.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze, organize, and visualize complex data.
  • Create professional PowerPoint presentations that communicate insights clearly and effectively.
  • Develop accurate reports, dashboards, and presentations that support decision-making.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Keep projects and information organized through strong planning and attention to detail.
  • Support efficient workflows by coordinating tasks and maintaining clear processes.
  • Conduct thorough market, industry, and competitive research using sound analytical methods.
  • Gather, validate, and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Translate research findings into evidence-based recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex information clearly through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
  • Collaborate effectively to support informed decision-making and achieve business objectives.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate airport security clearance.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data-driven business cases to support new and existing air service opportunities.
  • Analyze traffic, market, and financial data to evaluate route viability and forecast potential outcomes.
  • Create compelling, strategic materials that support airline decision-making and investment.
  • Monitor market trends, airline capacity, and passenger demand to identify growth opportunities.
  • Research regional, national, and competitive market dynamics to inform air service strategy.
  • Produce forecasts and analytical insights to support long-term planning and route development.
  • Prepare strategic materials and presentations for airline meetings and industry events.
  • Maintain and prioritize a pipeline of air service opportunities, tracking progress and follow-up actions.
  • Provide insights into airline networks, strategies, and market developments to support engagement efforts.
  • Produce regular reports on air service performance, traffic trends, and schedule changes.
  • Analyze results to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions and cross-functional planning.
  • Support the planning and execution of air service events, announcements, and inaugural flights.
  • Assist with industry conference preparation through research, analytics, and logistical coordination.
  • Contribute to activities that strengthen airline relationships and promote YEG's air service objectives.
