About The Position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Mid-level Air Quality Scientist III to join our growing EHS & Air group within our Environmental business line. This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Beaumont, TX. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Perform a variety of tasks in support of air quality project staff and operation of several air quality monitoring networks. Work outdoors at multiple client locations to install, maintain, and repair air measurement instrumentation. May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisors, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites. Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation. Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories under supervision. Must be able to work independently. May occasionally interface with clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in air quality compliance and in maintaining/repairing electronic instrumentation.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license required for this role.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in air quality compliance and in maintaining/repairing electronic instrumentation.
  • Valid TWIC card.
  • Prior experience with Gas Chromatography is highly desired.
  • Computer skills with software installation and basic troubleshooting.
