Requirements

• Two years of experience as an Air Quality Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• One year of experience as an Air Monitoring Program Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Three years of professional work in the control and abatement of air pollution and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or an environmental field closely related to Air Quality Management
• An equivalent combination of experience and/or training
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license

Responsibilities

• Develop rulemaking documents, technical analyses, and regulatory materials that align with Commonwealth requirements
• Conduct detailed evaluations of regulations and policies to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance
• Assist in creating and implementing guidance that helps staff carry out regulatory responsibilities
• Prepare written and oral materials to share technical information with staff, industries, and the public
• Review research related to emission reductions, cost impacts, and feasibility of regulatory strategies
• Plan and organize training programs for bureau and regional staff to strengthen technical capabilities
