AECOM is seeking an Air Quality Monitoring Operator to join AECOM’s Ambient Air Monitoring (AAM) Group based in our Austin, Texas office. This position is expected to begin ASAP. The successful candidate will be a part of the AAM operations team, primarily working independently but regularly interfacing with their fellow team members, AECOM managers, clients, and contractors. You will focus on the preparation, execution, and reporting of air monitoring sites within central Texas. As a member of the AAM Operations Team, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: Collaborate and work as part of a team of scientists that provide air quality monitoring services. Work directly with instrumentation, technicians, and data validators to operate air measurement instrumentation. Use hand and power tools to calibrate, maintain, test, and operate air monitoring instrumentation and equipment. Understand and perform calibration and documentation protocols. Collect, organize, and prepare data for reporting. Travel to air monitoring locations across the United States to conduct calibrations, repairs, and perform routine preventative maintenance on air monitoring equipment.
