About The Position

ENVENTION has an immediate need for an Air & Missile Defense Subject Matter Expert with targeted Warfighter experience to join our team to support the air defense planning capability of the cutting-edge Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a transformative air defense system that integrates advanced technologies to protect against modern threats. You’ll work on complex systems-level challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and help develop solutions that shape the future of Army Air Defense. This isn’t a role for a passive advisor. It's an opportunity to embed the voice of the warfighter directly into the heart of the Army's next generation air defense system.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: Former U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery military officer, warrant officer, or non-commissioned officer with extensive experience in Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Planning at the tactical and operational levels of war.
  • Operational Experience: Proven experience with IBCS, Patriot, THAAD, or SHORAD / M-SHORAD.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex ideas clearly in writing, diagrams, and discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to analyze complex systems, decompose requirements, and evaluate interfaces and interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 20+ years (18+ years with a Master’s degree) of combined Air and Missile Defense or related engineering or tactical experience.
  • Targeted Military Occupational Specialties: Air Defense Artillery Officer (14A), Air Defense Artillery Warrant Officer (140E/140K/140A), Air Defense Artillery Noncommissioned Officer (14E, 14T, 14G, or 14H)
  • Must be available to work full-time onsite in Huntsville, AL.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

  • 140A/140E/140K: Patriot Top Gun Graduate, follow-on application of knowledge through AMD planning at Battalion, Brigade, and Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC)
  • Attendee (completion of all modules), follow-on application of knowledge through AMD planning at Battalion, Brigade, and Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC)
  • 14A/140E/140K: Air Defense Artillery Fire Control Officer Graduate, follow-on experience in a Joint IAMD environment
  • 14E, 14T, 14G, 14H: Patriot Master Gunner Graduate, follow-on experience through deployment or forward posture
  • 140A: Joint Interoperability Control Officer (JICO) certified
  • Completion of Intermediate Level Education, Warrant Officer Advanced Course, or Master Leader Course

Responsibilities

  • Apply subject-matter expertise gained from experience as a warfighter to inform the development of IBCS.
  • Lead Systems Engineering and Software Development activities to bridge the understanding between engineer intent and warfighter usability.
  • Assist in the prioritization of IBCS capabilities and features within the structure of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Collaborate with system engineers, software developers, test engineers, and other domain experts to translate operational needs into functionality.
  • Support integration by working with cross-functional teams to ensure system components interface correctly and fulfill mission objectives.
