About The Position

The Airflow Operator is responsible for performing airflow testing on manufactured turbine engine components. This role involves confirming part serial numbers, loading parts onto fixtures, operating testing machines, reviewing readings, and ensuring parts meet specifications. The operator will also be responsible for accurate paperwork, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

United States Citizen or Green card holder
Desire to learn and work in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
Strong listening and communication skills; verbal and written skills
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Novice understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement Methodologies
Demonstrated self-starter
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn Manufacturing ERPs (Job Boss)

Responsibilities

Perform air flow testing on turbines engine parts following operation sheet
Confirm serial number of part and record the number
Load part onto airflow fixture; run machine and review the reading
Ensure part meets specifications, if it doesn’t notify supervisor
Produce quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
Responsible for accurately completing paperwork related to airflow process
Perform duties with good machining and operating practices at all times.
Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
Proactively solve process or system related problems and coordinate with other team members/departments when necessary for resolution of problems
Comply with OSHA, health, safety and environment requirements.
May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.
