About The Position

MGF is a privately owned multinational company operating worldwide in international shipments and logistics support, with offices in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. MGF Houston is seeking a full-time Air Export Coordinator to provide clients with efficient, reliable, and cost-effective air freight solutions. The coordinator works with shippers, carriers, and other logistics providers to ensure the smooth and timely export of air cargo from origin to destination.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in air export coordination within the freight forwarding industry.
Knowledge of air export regulations, documentation, and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Comfort and proficiency with technology.
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Google Suite and CargoWise.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage all aspects of air export shipments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to obtain shipment details and provide status updates.
Book cargo space with airlines, negotiate rates, and arrange transportation to the airport.
Prepare and review export documents, including airway bills, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Ensure shipment documentation is accurate and complete to minimize delays and errors.
Monitor and track shipments to support on-time delivery and provide timely customer updates.
Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate customs clearance.
Resolve issues or discrepancies during the export process, including cargo discrepancies, delays, and regulatory challenges.
Stay current with export regulations and compliance requirements.
Assist in developing efficient export processes and procedures to improve departmental operations.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
