About The Position

As a CDL B Driver under the general supervision of the Logistics Specialist, you will deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships as well as other Dejana locations. You will also be responsible for minor truck and trailer maintenance. Deliveries are made within the North East Region of the US. You will be able to accomplish this by: Effectively using maps and directions to ensure most economical use of time and equipment Accurately maintaining daily driver log book Performing pre-check and post check inspections of vehicles as minor maintenance Having good communication skills(written and verbal) and the ability to follow instructions Maintaining a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways Properly assessing site locations in advance of truck delivery/pickup to ensure adequate access for safe operations Performing all responsibilities and duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Air brake certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Possess a clean, valid CDL.
  • Current DOT medical certificate.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Familiarity with manual log books.
  • A team-player with a good work ethic (courteous, flexible punctual and professional).
  • Level-headed, detail-oriented & safety conscientious.
  • Knowledge of major and minor highways as well as federal motor carrier safety regulation and DOT guidelines.
  • Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform moderately difficult manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination skills.
  • Sit and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
