About The Position

i3 is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations (EO) Product Owner (PO) who will work as a member of the Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires (PAE Fires) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). This role is responsible for the prioritization and validation of development software for the Engagement Operations team, reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and providing guidance to the development team. The Product Owner will also work with Program Management in setting priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint, provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, and work with the development team to establish acceptance criteria and functional tests for QA/QC of software deliverables.

Requirements

  • Have a basic understanding of Engagement Operations concepts to include engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction and sensor resource management.
  • Have the ability to provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.
  • Be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Be a US citizen.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
  • Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
  • Familiar with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.
  • Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Engagement Operations team.
