As an Aide, you will be responsible for performing housekeeping duties throughout patient and public areas to maintain a clean, attractive, and safe facility. These areas include, but are not limited to, patient rooms, utility rooms, nurse stations, bathrooms, locker rooms, exam rooms, and offices. A caregiver in this role works evenings from 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping duties in patient and public areas to ensure a clean, attractive and safe environment. Areas include patient rooms, utility rooms, nurse stations, isolation rooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, exam rooms and offices.
Empty, clean and reline waste baskets.
Perform daily cleaning, high/low dusting, mopping, sweeping, spot cleaning, polishing and vacuuming.
Wipe tabletops, phones, TV cords, and doorknobs.
Replenish room supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers and hand soap.
Transport trash from utility rooms and collection spots to pick up points.
Assist in cleaning emergency situations that are observed or requested.
Maintain arrangement of furniture in patient rooms, offices and lounges.
Understand the proper use of chemicals, dilution, usage and measuring.
Participate in and attend all in-services, become familiar with the employee handbook and understand policies and procedures.
Accept and carry out assignments, provide coverage for laundry caregivers and perform other tasks as assigned.
