About The Position

To provide instructional and behavioral assistance to students served in the RISE program. This role involves assisting in the implementation of all elements of the RISE program, maintaining accurate student records, and supporting behavior management strategies. The aide will also be responsible for monitoring student progress, providing re-orientation and instruction, and obtaining/maintaining CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification. Other duties include SHARS duties as assigned and providing personal care as identified in student IEPs.

Requirements

• 48 college hours required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
• 15 college hours or high school diploma or GED (with a passing score of 464 on the ParaPro test) for Non-Title I campus
• Communicate and work with students with disabilities
• Maintain effective working relationships
• Minimum clerical skills
• Good physical and emotional condition
• Work with confidential material and student records
• Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required once employed
• 48 college hours for Title I campus or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing re-orientation and instruction to students in RISE classroom
• Assist in monitoring student behaviors

• Other SHARS Duties as assigned
• Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs
