About The Position

The Aide – Preschool supports instructional programs within preschool classrooms by assisting teachers with instruction, supervising students, supporting the implementation of IEP goals, and helping maintain safe and effective classroom environments.

Requirements

Maintaining accurate records
Instructional practices and preschool learning activities
Child development and behavior
Safety procedures and health standards
Communicate effectively with students and staff
Maintain confidentiality
Work collaboratively with teachers and support personnel
Adapt to changing classroom needs
Manage multiple tasks and interruptions
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Adapt classroom activities and materials under teacher direction to reinforce learning objectives.
Assist medically fragile or physically disabled students with personal care and hygiene needs.
Provide immediate first aid or medical assistance when directed by healthcare professionals.
Assist teachers in implementing behavioral or instructional plans developed by IEP teams.
Monitor students during classroom and school activities to maintain a safe environment.
Provide individual and small-group instruction to support academic, social, and daily living skills.
Maintain instructional materials and classroom records.
Communicate with teachers and support personnel regarding student progress.
Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to job responsibilities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
