About The Position

This position involves providing support to professional staff in an early childhood special education setting at Groves Primary. The role includes performing clerical duties, conducting learning reinforcement activities, and assisting with the personal, social, educational, and health needs of students under the direction of the professional teacher. The aide will also assume other duties as assigned by the principal.

Requirements

• Paraprofessional Certification Training that meets NCLB requirements OR minimum two years of study at institution of higher learning (48 college hours) and/or Associate Degree required.
• Eligible for state Paraprofessional Certification or such alternatives as may be acceptable to the district.
• Documentation of Highly Qualified status required.

Nice To Haves

• Educational Aide experience preferred

Responsibilities
