About The Position

Supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered learning environment for students. Assists with classroom instruction, student supervision, daily routines, and activities while supporting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is beneficial.
• Patient, dependable, caring, and supportive personality.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons, activities, and instructional materials.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students to reinforce classroom instruction.
• Help students complete assignments and develop positive learning habits.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, transitions, arrival, and dismissal.
• Encourage respectful behavior, cooperation, responsibility, and kindness consistent with Catholic values.
• Assist students who require additional academic, behavioral, or developmental support.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and supplies.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Support classroom routines and assist the teacher with behavior management.
• Communicate observations and student concerns appropriately to the classroom teacher.
• Assist with school events, activities, field trips, and special programs as assigned.
• Support daily prayer, religious activities, and the Catholic mission of the school.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.
• Establish positive and respectful relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.
