Aide, Basic STEM Math
About The Position
The Aide – Basic STEM supports classroom instruction by working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, monitor behavior, and assist teachers with instructional materials and activities specific to math. The aide helps maintain a safe and productive learning environment, supports classroom organization, and contributes to student academic success under the guidance of licensed staff. STEM Math Aides will work with small groups of students in grades 2-6 to enhance academic confidence and improve math skills. Utilizing personalized learning math software, aides will guide students toward greater academic success.

Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and instructional materials under the direction of the supervising teacher.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and assist with assignments.
- Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under teacher supervision.
- Maintain classroom work areas, equipment, and records to support instructional activities.
- Monitor students in various school settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, hallways, and lunch areas.
- Communicate with teachers and staff regarding student progress and observations.
- Report incidents involving student behavior, safety concerns, or accidents to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to emergency situations involving students and ensure appropriate assistance is provided.
- Attend meetings and training sessions related to job responsibilities.
- Support classroom teachers and school personnel with instructional and organizational tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
