About The Position

This role owns the technology side end to end, accountable for delivering the firm's AI platforms and licensing, governance, technical enablement of all five practices, delivery of firm-wide results dashboards, and the process for strengthening and rolling out colleague-built solutions. It connects the firm's strategy to its operating model and technology, ensuring the data organization, IT organization, digital practice's build teams, and each practice's tool choices operate as a single system. This role is the counterpart to the AI Transformation Operations and Change Management Leader, focusing on the technology half of the model, including project management for the dashboard family. The scope will grow as the transformation extends across BDO's member firms globally. The role reports directly to the AI Enablement Leader and Global BDO Digital Leader, works with the Chief Data & AI Officer's organization for technical execution, coordinates with the Chief Information Officer's organization on access, security, and data, and collaborates closely with the AI Transformation Operations and Change Management Leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, required.
  • Twelve (12) or more years leading technology-enabled transformation, platform organizations, or product delivery at scale, including senior leadership (director or senior director in a global technology company, principal, partner, managing director, or equivalent) in a complex, matrixed organization, required.
  • Experienced in taking platforms and programs from design to measured adoption at scale, presenting adoption numbers and financial results, and a record of leading through influence: aligning organizations that do not report to you into one operating system, required.
  • Experience in enterprise vendor management at the level of commercial negotiation: licensing structures, usage-based pricing, and joint go-to-market, required.
  • Experienced leading a working team of personal AI agents the candidate built without code, on tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and the agent platforms from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, and manages today, presented live in the interviews: what each agent does, how it was brought on board, and how its performance is managed over time, required.
  • Hands-on experience creating interactive documents and lightweight apps, both with AI co-working tools and with command-line AI assistants, required.
  • Fluency in managing a hybrid workforce of people and AI agents, from lived experience: how delegation, quality review, feedback, and accountability change when part of the team is digital, where hybrid teams break down, and how to catch it early, required.
  • Hands-on, daily use of enterprise AI platforms, copilots, and agent-building tools, required.
  • AI co-working tools and command-line AI assistants, required.
  • Leads through influence, aligning organizations that do not report to this role into one operating system.
  • Equally credible negotiating with a vendor's executives, walking a practice leader through a revenue opportunity, and helping a first-year colleague fix an agent.
  • Ability to connect strategy to plans, measurable outcomes, and the dashboards that track them.
  • Ability to translate technology, security, and risk into guidance practice leaders act on.
  • Disciplined operator: ability to run the scaling process, the governance queue, and the release cadence week after week.
  • Broad working knowledge of the agent-building market: compare options credibly, guide the firm's choices, hold their own in any vendor or builder conversation.
  • Range across audiences, from vendor boardrooms to the front line: the same material must land with an AI vendor's executives, a practice leader, and a first-year colleague who cannot get an agent to work.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, preferred.
  • Experience in a partnership-led or regulated environment; converting internal capability into market-facing offerings; delivering multi-release platforms or dashboards on time with distributed build teams; and building agents by connecting directly to AI models through their programming interfaces (APIs), all preferred.
  • Working familiarity with enterprise reporting and data visualization platforms, such as Power BI, Fabric, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or Sigma, enough to review a build, question a number, and hold a delivery conversation with the build team, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owns technical enablement end to end, including the technical track of the AI Champions Network, and is accountable for the results.
  • Runs the firm's AI platforms as a unified set, ensuring the firm buys once and buys well, with clear guidance on tool selection for specific jobs.
  • Defines the technology side of the firm's human-agent operating model, including platforms, guardrails, and connection patterns for managing digital labor alongside human talent.
  • Runs the project management of the dashboard family, including the release plan with BDO Digital and consistent data feed recording from all AI platforms.
  • Develops and operates an agent scaling assessment process for governance review, strengthening, and firm-wide rollout, recognizing creators, retiring agents when cost exceeds return, and maintaining a firm library of connectors.
  • Supports ongoing innovation growth through internal builder enablement and scaled deployment.
  • Owns the revenue bridge and vendor relationships on the technology side, including practice relationships for converting transformation assets into sellable offerings and managing strategic AI vendor relationships.
  • Other duties as required.
