About The Position

Join our team of innovators and play a key role in shaping the future of AI at Lockheed Martin. The Lockheed Martin AI Factory Apps team is seeking a Front End Web Developer (Entry to Mid Level) to support our team focused on building AI-enabled enterprise capabilities. Our skilled engineers have discipline and domain-specific experience and training, best-in-industry software development practices and patterns, and cutting edge tools for software design, development, configuration management, quality, security, and deployment. The selected candidate will possess a balance of foundational software development skills and a willingness to learn emerging technologies. This position will be involved in developing, modifying, testing, deploying, and maintaining Jaycee for Email, a Microsoft Outlook add-in. The candidate will be a key technical resource on a team with other AI Factory software engineers, comfortable working in a dynamic environment where the industry moves quickly and we are at the cutting edge.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional front-end development experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON, and Git version control.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously upskill as tooling and industry best practices evolve.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 integration (Office.js, manifest XML).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph and entra ID.
  • Proficiency in Next.js.
  • Familiarity with structured output.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, ARM).
  • Understanding UI/UX best practices.
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI application development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt to a fast-evolving landscape.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain responsive UI components for Jaycee and the Outlook add-in using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Integrate front-end code with Microsoft Graph, internal REST APIs, and other web services.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and back-end engineers in an Agile environment.
  • Periodic travel to Lockheed Martin sites may be required, as well as the ability to work in a virtual environment.
